The Elmont Community Center is a former World War I army barracks that was transferred in 1953 to where it now sits. It has been upgraded and modified to serve as a meeting place for the community for over 70 years.
The center features a meeting hall that can accommodate a medium/large gathering, a full kitchen, and an individual bathroom. The meeting hall was freshly painted and the kitchen oven was replaced in 2023.
The property has multiple picnic tables and ample parking out front and along the side of the building. There is a large fire pit area that the Ruritan Club uses for their Brunswick stew fundraisers and the Scouts use for educational purposes.
The Elmont Community Center is owned and managed by the Elmont Ruritan Club.
The Center is available to rent to members of the community for limited events.
